This course will become the new officially recognised FHC Provincial Indoor Umpiring Certification.
What's involved:
Classroom:

Rules and Interpretations
- Knowledge of the game
- What makes a good umpire?
- Become a more effective umpire
- Aspects of managing a game
- Questions and Answers
- Exam (multiple choice)
Observation of games and umpires:
- first session on 10th Jan and second session on 16th or either 17th Jan
- umpire group to watch 10 to 15 minutes of indoor game
- discuss objectives (positioning, decision making, communication styles, use of whistle, control, etc)
Coaching and Assessments:
- umpires will be appointed to Indoor league games
- umpires will be coached by umpire mentors (constructive feedback and areas to improve,
video analysis if required) umpires to be have 1 to 2 field assessments over the indoor season.
