Tournaments

Like any sports club, the Saracens have participated in their share of tournaments over the years. Here are some pictures from some of those tournaments and information about upcoming events.

Golden Oldies

Some of our team are fairly Golden and are lucky to have the opportunity to attend these great events.

The last international Golden Oldies tournament was in the Netherlands in September 2005. Saracens was well represented and here are a few photographs. Click on the photo for a bigger version.

Whether it's been called Moosehead or Rattlesnake the Saracens have always enjoyed patronizing the summer tournament in the Okanagen.

Of course, it's not all serious hockey. There's still time to enjoy the sun and some of the other diversions that the Okanagen valley offers.

Calgary Irish

The Calgary Irish often hold tournaments on their own pitches in the northeast of Calgary. The close proximity of the bar is a particular point of recommendation.

Vancouver International Tournament, competitive & recreational divisions, May long weekend.
Orca Festival, Vancouver BC; 2.5 days of excellent recreational hockey to end off the summer, Labour Day long weekend.
7th Annual International Salsa & Tortilla Beach Field Hockey Tournament in the Netherlands 2nd to 4th of June 2006.
Golden Oldies Festival (for those 35 +), Argentina, September 2007.
